Legal documents of Jeremiah and Benjamin Wait of Hatfield, Mass. include a letter from George Phillips regarding fitting out a sloop and the use of his "Negro boy," 1717; estate settlement and list, 1735-36; and deeds for land in Hampshire County, Mass., 1750 and 1776. Also includes a contemporary copy of the will of John Graves of Hatfield, 1724, and a copy of a court judgment between William Billings and John Hawley, 1773, of Hampshire County.
